Very nice staff, we were warmly welcomed. Very comfortable bed. Excellent view from our room. Great breakfast with nice variety and pleasant breakfast room. Sink in our room (we knew we had reserved a room with a shared bathroom. Other hotels in the area were not coming up in our search, so we thought this was about the only one available). Some local people were very impressed when we told them that we were staying at Hotel Linde, as they talked very highly of the place. We're guessing that we just happened to receive the one room that had us scratching our heads about why the price was quite comparable to other 3 star hotels we'd stayed at. We were only in Einsiedeln for one night. Otherwise would have asked to change rooms.
For the price compared to other 3 star hotels, were surprised at small room; had to leave luggage in the car and only bring in our carry-on. We knew we reserved a room with shared bathroom in the hall but were surprised at the basket full of used bars of hotel soap. Room did have a sink with clean bar of hotel soap. Hair dryer blew fuse in our room, then in shared bathroom. (Has never happened to me before). Husband took shower in pitch black. They didn't turn lights back on but kindly gave me hair dryer and was able to dry hair in hallway without blowing fuse. Explaining answer to next questions: would recommend but be sure to clarify what you are paying for. Most reviews in other languages, so could not read.

The food was nice enough. The breakfast is good. The general appearance of the hotel is fine.
The wireless access is not there from the cheaper rooms. I was forced to upgrade by paying 47CHF more a night so I could be in a room with wireless access as I needed it. All 3 of my internet enabled devices could not connect from the original room I booked. When I queried them about getting a discount on the newer room due to them not delivering the service they said they could all they could say is the other guests can connect no problem.

I recently had a wonderful stay at a charming hotel in a quaint Swiss town. One of the best things about the hotel was its convenient location. It was close to the famous monastery and even had rooms with views of the infamous Einsiedeln Abbey. Being just in front of the monastery, I could easily walk over to explore its beauty and serenity. Additionally, the hotel was in the center of Einsiedeln, which made it easy for me to explore the town and visit the shops.
My stay at this hotel was fantastic and I couldn't find anything to fault.

Great art collection and beautiful restaurant. Perfect location near the monastery. Loved the fact that the breakfast was served in a historic wing of the hotel.
The room was dusty and smelled moldy. The curtains were stained, and the carpet looked like it had never been cleaned.

We were next door to the stunning monastery and could enjoy the bells ringing from our window. we had access to the town centre and all its attractions. the room was clean and comfortable, and we had no problem using the shared bathroom, which was always spotless. the staff was friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the breakfast offerings, especially the delicious bread.
There was an issue with the free WiFi connection in the room. We tried to connect but couldn't, which was a downside.
